Circuit is a consortium of libraries in the San Diego area, of which USD is a member. Circuit does not include all San Diego area libraries, but it does include several large academic and public library collections. USD is the only law library member of Circuit.
Remember to think of where to find materials in a geographical sense. Start closest to you, which means searching the USD library catalog first. If USD doesn't have what you need, then check Circuit. You can access the Circuit catalog at http://circuit.sdsu.edu/ or by clicking the Circuit link in the USD catalog if you've already searched for the item there.
For example, if you have gotten to a list of results from the USD library catalog, you should see reference to the Circuit in the upper right-hand corner of the page. It looks like this:
If you have clicked through in the USD library catalog to the record of a specific item, you should see reference to the Circuit on the right-hand side of the page. It looks like this:
It you find an item you need for journal cite-checking at a Circuit member library, please send the request via our ILL page rather than directly through the Circuit website. Until further notice, the LRC team will place all Circuit requests for journals.
