  • This guide provides the USD community with resources and information to support institutional and personal learning about diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility topics. It is a living document and will be updated on an ongoing basis.

San Diego Community Resources:

Project TRANS @ The LGBT Center of San Diego ––

  • Project TRANS was established to provide services designed specifically for San Diego’s transgender, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming community

TransFamily Support Services of San Diego –

  • Trans Family Support Services offers family engagement services, youth and adult support groups, training and education, and speaker series. They provide family coaching, assistance with healthcare and insurance issues, help navigating the legal system, and support at schools. All services are provided at no fee.

Transgender Health and Wellness Center –

  • The Transgender Health and Wellness Center provides a variety of services to the transgender, nonbinary, gender nonconforming, and intersex community in Southern California, including mental health programs, hair removal services, insurance navigation, and housing and employment support.

  • The Commission on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity of the American Bar Association has compiled this list of links to assist transgender people in learning more about their rights.

National Center for Transgender Equality - Transgender Legal Services Network Directory External

  • The Transgender Legal Services Network "brings together over 80 organizations serving trans communities," and includes law firms, nonprofit organizations, and other groups providing legal aid to transgender persons, arranged by state.
