Journals are secondary materials, so they are not the strongest sources. However, they can be very helpful for pointing you to other sources and laws. Journals can be especially helpful in the area of environmental law because they can contain a lot of scientific and technical sources, and looking at very recent journal articles can provide insight into recent developments in environmental law.
