The Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas provides post-graduate legal instruction and training as part of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
The library at the Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas de la UNAM is dedicated to the collection, analysis, and organization of all major federal and state codes and case law, in both print and electronic form. In addition, the library maintains an extensive periodical collection including the Official Journal of the Federation (since 1890), each and every one of the collections of newspapers, magazines and official bulletins of the thirty-two states (since 1930) and Judicial Precedent Federation (since 1870). The Mexican Law Review, published by the IIJ, is an invaluable resource for students at the University of San Diego, providing English language articles from a Mexican perspective. The Mexican Law Review is available to students in print at the Legal Research Center (mezzanine level) and electronically through HeinOnline.
At this time, the cost of shipping materials to and from Mexico City precludes high-volume resource sharing. However, lending may be arranged on a case-by-case basis.
