When you are relatively confident that you have completed sufficient research, the final step is update your primary material in order to ascertain if your material is not outdated.  Another reason to update your primary authority, is because updating your primary authority leads you to additional primary authority.  A good indication that you have completed a sufficient amount of research is that you have reviewed all the primary authority in the citator before.  The most popular methods to update primary material is through KeyCiting or Shepardizing.
